What happens when the Office Preview ends?

The Office Preview ends (expires) approximately 60 days after Office 2013 becomes available in your market. We’ll remind you when you open an Office program. After the Preview ends, Office programs go into read-only mode, meaning you won’t be able to do much more than view and print.

Before you install the release version of Office 2013, you’ll need to remove the Preview version. Please see Uninstall Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 for more information, including a Fix it that will automatically remove the Preview.

If you installed the Preview for Office 365 Small Business Premium or Office 365 Enterprise, all information in the Preview account is deleted when the Preview ends, including email and calendar data, websites, and uploaded documents. Be sure to move anything you want to keep to a different location, like OneDrive.

All Preview products for IT pros installed from TechNet end on June 30, 2013 and won’t work after that date.
